Effective September 2026. Short version: this site collects as little as it can get away with.

What we collect

Analytics: page-view counts via a self-hosted, cookie-less counter (GoatCounter). It records the page, referrer, approximate country, and browser type. It sets no cookies and doesn't track you across sites.

The Resume Analyzer tool (tool.escalationpath.com) is a separate application with its own account system; its data handling is described on the tool itself. Resumes you upload there are stored only to produce your report and are deleted on request.

Email: if you email [email protected], we keep your message and address, like any normal mailbox, for as long as the conversation needs.

Purchases: guides are sold through a third-party storefront (e.g. Gumroad); payment details are handled entirely by them and never reach us. We receive your email address and the order record.

What we don't do

No advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, no selling or sharing of personal data, no newsletters you didn't ask for.

Your data

Want something deleted? Email [email protected] and it will be removed within 30 days. Analytics data is aggregate and mostly anonymous already.

Changes

If anything here changes materially (for example, if ads or a mailing list are added later), this page will be updated before the change takes effect.
